No start. Running out of ideas

I have a 2004 new body style f150 5.4 that I can't get started.
I had my dad drive it to my house and he told me it started weak and then it sat over the weekend. First thing mon morning I get in and have radio/headlights ect but nothing from the solonoid or starter. The only noise I get is from the relays clicking. I charged the battery and changed the terminals with no difference. Then I was underneath the truck getting frustrated with my volt meter on the starter and started knocking on it with a wrench while my dad tried turning it over and it started after a few try's. At that point I pulled the starter and had advance check it (it's a remanufacterd starter I bought a year ago) and it worked fine for them... I tried bench testing it myself on a couple battery's and it spins but doesn't engage. But I put it back on and bought a new battery with the larger ca I could find climb in the truck turn the key and nothing. Tried about 4 more times and it worked, just til urged over weak. Drove it for a while shut it off and same thing had to fight for a few try's to get it going. Since the. I can't get it to do anything. I've also tried switching the relays between the high beam and starter solonoid relay and I've checked for voltage pass the fusable link. When I was checking voltage at the starter I get about 6 volts coming from the ignition and I have yet to see voltage at the main wire from the battery. I'm running out of ideas. Any thoughts?

I've also tried turning it over in neutral and checked all other fused that could be related. Only fuse I found blown was for the code reader port but I think that's been blown for a lil while

It really sounds like a bad starter. They can test good and still be bad.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...ank-start.html Found this and I want to give it a try when I get home but yeah I'm about to just pay for a new good starter and cross my fingers. Had problems with my starter last year and replaced it with a cheap remanufacterd one so mybe it's falled again
