Huh, thanks! I'd say the older FX's were comparable to Lariats when loaded up, but now you can load one up to the brink of being a Platinum.

Actually the FX2 was an special option package only available on 07-08 XLT's, hence the special stitching, Kinda like the King ranch was a special package on the lariat. The FX4 was it's own trim level positioned between the xlt and lariat. In 09 the FX2 became it's own trim level like the FX4, actually they are called the FX trim level. My 07 had FX4 on the gauge cluster and my 13 only has FX on the cluster now.

Some misinformation in this thread, I own an FX-4.

It has column shift, cloth seats that do not have FX4 on the headrests, the top half of the outside mirror is black plastic just like the bottom half and the handles/surround are also black plastic. The gauge trim rings are not chrome, they are aluminum coloured plastic.

Not a fan of the flow through console, our '13 has it. I commute almost 1000 miles a week and like to stretch out and put my foot on the trans hump on long drives!
