2006 In Dash Cup Holder Repair

First, the bottom line: I need a diagram of the internal springs for a 2004-2008 dashboard cup holder.

Now, here's the story...

I had a box of rather heavy stuff in my passenger seat. I had to brake quickly and the box slid forward, hitting the open cup holder. There are tabs on either end of the flaps at the bottom of the cup holder (by flaps I mean the flat parts where the beer can sits ... oops! I mean where the "SODA CAN" sits). Those tabs popped out of a cover plate that holds them in place.

I thought this was going to be an easy fix. I removed the cup holder unit. I removed the bottom cover plate to put the flaps back in place (the cover plate is held in by two Torx screws).

Well, when I removed those two screws, three coil springs and two angular flat-metal springs dislodged.

I am trying to figure out how this all goes back together. I've got two of the three coil springs figured out and I think I have guessed about the flat-metal springs. I'm at a loss about how the third coil spring goes back in. I know where this coil spring slips on, but I'm not sure where one end of it is held to remain under load.

A diagram would be invaluable. Any help would be very appreciated.

I do not recommend anyone dismantling their cup holder unit to figure it out for me ... unless you are just really into puzzles and internal springs...

Thanks much from Georgia!
