OK guys I just bought a 6 button remote fob from Ebay.(one with unlock, lock, start,alm, and 2 functions) im trying to program it to work with my trucks locks and/or remote start with no luck. any tips or tricks I should try, I do have a ford dealer installed remote start in my truck but I heard you gotta go to the dealer for that. which im tryin to avoid. kinda lost on this... ive tried the on/off 8 times and the little black button under the dash but I may be missing something.
my remote start is I think dealer installed option not a factory option seeing as I have an XLT
and unfortunately only have on PATS key.

Is your door closed? I was having that problem, programmed both the truck remotes and my Taurus remote to the truck to see if it would work. When I asked my gf for her remote so we could get all four on the truck, she wanted to watch and left the passenger door ajar. Many unsuccessful attempts until she closed her door, then it worked on the first time.

As for the remote start, possibly the same issue if you already searched and found those instructions on here.
