That ain't bad! I put stuff up there all the time and it just slides around, so this might work. Glad it's priced appropriately too.

I think the whole thing is made out of rubber, no? That's why I thought it was good. Day star leveling kits are
Polyurethane or some other kind of rubber/plastic.

Does it replace the existing panel or just drop in place?

Db, I just looked at mine and the actual bottom of the tray is just this little rubber thing that's settin in it (peels right up with no adhesive if you get a knife on the edge of it). So I assume this just takes the place of it.

I have one of those in my truck. You do need to remove the OEM tray. The Daystar piece simply fits in its place. There a two little tabs that hold it into the OEM mounting holes.

These pics are from my Gallery. Sorry for the terrible cell pics but you get the idea.

I decided that I wanted to take it one step further so I made a leather insert to fit it.

The Dash Panel units are made of a pliable plastic material. They hold change and phones pretty good although extreme windy roads at a good bit of speed will get things moving, but they will remain in the panel. I have seen some cut kitchen cabinet matting to steady phones with super slick cases.

It installs on top of the original cutout, remove the mounting screw and reinstall it through the panel.

No, but the textured molded floor of it retains most items in place (change, pens and/or metal frame glasses or shades in the front section; cell phones, MP3 players, GPS and plastic frame glasses or shades in the back)
