Can you unplug the knock sensor and see if it runs better. And check the wiring for the knock sensor and see if it is shorted with something else giving it a false input. Also you might want to install a new knock sensor if the wiring checks out.

I was thinking the same thing. Something is definitely giving it a false input. My mechanic says that the knock sensor picks up on noise. My passenger side cam phaser is noisy therefore he thinks it might be reading that. I brought the truck home but he wants me to bring it back tomorrow and leave it again so he can get further into it and find the cause.

If I can locate the knock sensor I might just unplug it to see how it drives.

Gonna Google it right now.
