Normal or should I get it checked?
Normal or should I get it checked?
I have a 05 Lariat 2wd with 116k on it. I decided to bring this up now just because I have the time to do something about it finally if need be. When I'm driving if I go over a speed bump or hit a little dip in the road the rear axle doesn't sound the best. Its real squeaky when it moves up and down and there's a clang when I go over speed bumps if they're moved box shaped than rounded off. Is this normal for the age on the truck? Is there a common spot where I could check it and maybe add some lubricant to get rid of the squeak?
Some background on the truck, it has the Rancho Quicklifts and Rancho 9000XL in the rear. All the shocks have been on there for over a year. The truck has always made this noise as far as I can remember just finally getting around to addressing it. Thanks for any tips.

shackles and spring eyes need lube maybe?
I'd find one of those speed bumps and go back to it when it's late and no one's around
- take a couple of buddies with you so they can squat down at either end of the speed bump as you drive over it between them
maybe that way you could find where the clunk is comeing from

Update: It looks like the leaf springs are rubbing against my exhaust pipes. I'm not completely sure this is the problem though, any easy way to fix this without going back to the exhaust shop? The exhaust was done over a year ago, SIDO setup. And they welded the hooks to the pipes to prevent them from moving but I guess they put it too close to the leaf springs.
