Wanted to give an update, my brother and I went 7 for 8 on the plugs. Only the plug on the #5 cylinder broke and we easily extracted it with the Lisle tool. Wanted to thank those who responded to this post with their tips and experience changing these plugs! It definitely gave me realistic expectations for undertaking such a job.

Good job! Know you're glad to have that behind you. Be sure and clean the MAF and throttle body as part of your general maintenance.

No Fram filter user nor petition signer here. Use only Motorcraft filters, Mobil 1 oil, 4,000 mile changes, and pre-fill filters. Have bought Fords for 20 years for a reason - guilty. And I am glad Ford did not take Gubment $$. So long Ford, this troll is going back under the bridge.
