Codes

Truck started roaring when I drove it the last couple of days I pulled 2 codes using my Edge Programer and the codes were
P0483 Variable Fan Control (FC V) Fan Performance.
P0528. Fan Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal.

Does this mean I need a new fan clutch I have never dealt with these electric fan clutches. On. The manual fan clutchs you could always tell they were bad by when they would free spin.

Is there any thing I Can test before I buy a $300.00 fan clutch I turned the fan fan by hand and it's not lose but I can turn it and it doesn't feel locked up.

Thanks

Quite a bit in there other than a bad fan clutch itself.

Thanks i unplugged the harness going to the fan clutch and its the same fan blasting full speed.

Being that its an electric fan clutch would it clutch be engaged while the truck is off or is it like the A/C clutch and it dis engages when the engine is off and while starting the truck

The only good thing with being on full blast all the time is my A/C seems colder now.lol
