MY wife's 2006 5.4L has been going into safe mode very intermittently for a while now. But it never seemed to through any codes. Well last week it finally did. It also seemed to only do this when the temperature got colder which happened last Thursday. This time it did throw a 2104, 2111, and 2112. But since time was short I did a quick cleaning on the throttle body by spraying the cleaner inside and used my finger and paper towel to do a quick clean. I plan to pull it off this weekend and do a thorough cleaning job on it. I did notice that the throttle actuator motor is now available for this model. I have changed the TPS already. Would a failing actuator motor be a possible cause for the P2104 ?? Cheaper than a new TB.
