Getting the right stance...
Getting the right stance...
Hey guys, I have a question. I know its been tossed around alot about tire size and such but I think my question is a hair bit different. I have a 2005 FX4 Regular Cab and my question is about stance with different size tires. I currently have a 2" lvl kit on the front and I have 285/65/18 BFG KO's. I will be in the market soon for new tires and Im trying to figure out what would be a good size for a nice stance with the 2" lvl kit and a Regular Cab. Right now imho I feel as though there is too much gap in the wheel wells and being that its a shorter truck the "ratio" of length to height looks a bit off. I could always go a bigger tire but Im not sure I want to. Or I could take the lvl kit off and the block off the back to kind of "hug" the tires more. Any suggestions?
Yup, I need bigger tires! I may just go to 35s in preperation for a lift when these wear out.

I may be wrong, but it looks like those BFGs are pretty worn down, but again, can't see them all that well. So bigger tires next go round or doing what you suggested. Your truck would be almost exactly like a leveled 2wd, and you won't like it down here
Yeah the BFG's need replacing soon.
What size lvl kit?
I just got new tires last month and I went with a 275/70 which I love. On my last truck I had 285/65's and I love the little bit bigger tires on this new truck. Btw I have a 2.5" level on my truck. I'll try and get a picture after I get done with class today.
I saw these and I would imagine they are pretty good considering they are BFG

If they're almost gone, why not get bigger tires? That would sove the issue for me. What is the concern with larger tires or the possible reasoning against it?
I pay a lot of attention to height to length ratios, but I think 2 door 6.5ft bed trucks have that ratio off when they're stock heighted
