Be careful with selecting those and make sure to buy quality ones, and be diligent about checking and re-torquing them.

Since writing in this post the other day, I've herd horror stories about those things.... Will they give me the look I'm after, and are they safe with what gtf150 said, the right torque specs and a dap of blue loctite..

They may be, but I personally wouldn't put them on my truck (I wouldn't put them on a daily driver). Tons of people use them without issue, it's just not worth constantly worrying about for me. Even with them (2"), your wheels will still hug a good bit because of the offset and how narrow they are. You're after a really wide stance, right? They may or may not, but I've seen plenty of stock 04+ wheels with 2" spacers and they don't stick out very far. Additionally, a good set is pretty pricey, in which case it would be best to just save that money and put it towards your savings budget for wheels that will really give you what you want.

I got billet aluminum ones. Changing my lug pattern opened me up to a huge variety of wheels. The biggest down fall of a spacer is improper installation. I have used them in the past and never had a issue. People that buy the 2 piece ones and don't shave down the studs is the most common failure. Mine are one piece billet 6061 T-6 aluminum. Having the proper number of threads, torque and loctite alleviate issues. I personally would never use 2 piece adapters. There's more meat and potatoes to a one piece. From what I researched I would have to be able to take a 2G turn to break them. My truck corners pretty damn good but 2G's, I don't think so Tim!! ...lol

You're exactly right sir, the wider stance is exactly what I'm looking for.. The only thing I'm doing to the truck is 3"body lift, crank the torsions to level the ride, and offset the wheels by one way or another.. I'm just on the fence about spacers... It's an older rig with 260,000+ miles on it, about to put a new rear end in it, COP's, tune up all that jazz... If the spacers are gunna stress my ride more than they should, then I'll hold out for some different wheels...
