Hey All,

So yesterday morning when i got ito my truck and started it (13 degrees outside) my Battery light was on and my ABS light was on. It was Dark out so i had my headlights on aswell, and then not 5 miles down the road my headlights got so dim that they were useless and all of the lights on my instrument panel went on and started to flicker. Then my electronic 4x4 tried engaging on its own and was making an awful racket. Needless to say i ended up pulling over and as soon as i took my foot off the gas the truck stalled. So naturally i was P#$$d.

Tried starting it agin and it wouldnt crank over just clicked. So i knew the battery was dead. I took the battery to work and charged it all day figuring that if it would take and hold a charge during the day then it was the Altenator that was this issue.. And it sure was, $262 just for the new one. I fixed it in 20 mins....

But now for my question and hopefully you all can help.
After i fixed the Altenator everthing was fine except for the Mini message center on the dash.. it works and says the Temp and the odometer, but the light doesnt work??

Is this easy to fix? just a simple light?

Id look in the owners manual but i got the truck at auction and it didnt come with one....

Thanks for that link. I still cant see where the fuse would be the issue so there has to be a light for the mini message center..Any idea where i may find that? Ill do some more diggin later..

Thanks for that link. The only issue is that all of the lights that glow behind the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, battery guage and temp guage STILL work...The only background light that doesnt work is the one behind the mini message center.... So im lost haha
