Front plate removal

Silly question perhaps but how do you get rid of the front license plate holder? I took off the 2 screws, unclipped the top portion but can't tell if you're just supposed to yank off the bottom portion? I could muscle it off I'm sure but don't wanna mess up the bumper. What am I missing?

the top for me you reach back behind it and you can feel two little rubber "hooks" that are keeping it in place. I learned this the hard was as I just yanked it out and the "hooks" were both torn in half.. hope this helps PM me if you need a better description
