2wd lift.

Looking to lift my 07 2wd F150 about 2.5 inches front and back.
If I lift the rear with blocks 2.5" do I need to change my struts. Right now I have Rancho 9000 on my truck.

Should be okay with the stock length ones. But Kmac would know better since that's about the way his truck is.

Thanks I'm looking at going with the Auto Spring 2.5" complete kit.
I also noticed that auto spring carries a 3" complete kit any problems with going with the 3" kit.

Plenty of problems. 3" is way too much for the front suspension, it'll eat up the balljoints and tie rod ends exceptionally fast.

I have a 2" Autospring up front and 2" Autospring blocks out back and running all factory shocks on my 2WD Looking at mine would give you an idea of how much rake you'd have and what it'll look like.

But yeah, stick to 2 to 2.5" for the front.

Thanks KMAC0694 your truck looks nice.
With your 2" front and 2"rear lift does your truck sit level or does it still have a front rake. I kinda want to keep the front rake I hate when truck or SUVs have rear sag and I tow a boat.

I just took my bushwacker fender flares off to repaint or have it done in a bed liner coating can't decide lol.

Thanks, it's still got almost 2 full inches of rake, which is how I like it too. My leafs are sagging and unlevel because I guess towing has squashed em a little over the years. I could do 2.5" front and 2" rear, but anything less than 1" of rake drives me bonkers and looks horrible IMO. I like that my rake was ambiguous enough for you to ask about it though!

What color is your truck? I think painting them helps them flow a lot better with how obtrusive most fender flares are. Almost any bedliner material will fade too, unless it's LineX Ultra or whatever, which is really expensive.

My truck is a silver xlt.
That's what I'm worried about with bed liners is that it will fade and look horrible . We don't have any company here on the island that sprays Line-X which sucks.

Right now the plan is to paint the fender flares black but with a textured look
I been testing what is the best way to spray and which brand to use.

Going to order my Auto spring kit soon just got to decide if I should go with the 2" or try the 2.5" kit lol.

I'd absolutely go with paint then. Bedliner is fine for old trucks, but not ones that you want looking nice.

Just my friendly opinion on them, black flares on a silver truck with chrome bumpers is just too much going on. I have a black bullbar and NFAB steps on a white XLT with chrome bumpers and I'm dying to get white or black bumpers to get rid of the third color (chrome). I think fender flares are very bold, large, and ruin the lines of a truck unless they're painted to match the body, which helps them blend tremendously. I'm a huge "flow" guy, if you can't tell haha. But that's just my view and if you like them black, do it! I don't want to talk you out of getting what you want. Plus if you're doing them yourself if you go with black, you won't be out a whole lot of money if you ever decide to do something else with them.

2" is easier on the balljoints, which is why I went with that one. That and I always hoped I could put it on top of a lift down the road, which will hopefully actually be happening soon, and 2.5" is too much for that purpose. I do feel that the 0.5" difference between the two is actually noticeable though.

Thanks Think i will stick to the 2'' lift i don't want to have problems with my ball joints.

I posted a Pic of my truck from last year and put it in my signature the fender flares are painted silver to match the truck and my tires were 31'' at the time i have since added new 33'' tire's. I pulled the fender flares of because the clear coat was fading after 4years
I was looking for a new look but think you my be right that it does flow better painted to match the truck.
I might spray one black and put it on the truck to see how I like the look before I do them all black.

Sounds like a good idea!

I saw a pic of your truck in your sig on another thread and definitely think we'll both like them better painted to match. But, there's no harm in painting them black and seeing how you like it. I think when black, you'll become aware of just how massive they are, especially on a non-lifted 2wd.

Good lookin truck too!

KMAC0694 with your 2" lift is your truck the same height as a stock 4wd one now.
That's what I'm looking for with my lift maybe an inch higher then stock 4x4 maybe.
I've seen a lot of different opinion on this site about how the truck will sit level or with front rake with the auto spring kits.

I also decided to stick with the silver paint on my fender flares you are right with the Crome bumpers they don't look good I found a pic of a F-150 silver with black fender flares and chrome bumpers and it looked not so hot lol.

It does. Some 4x4s are a touch higher with bigger tires, but a stock 4x4 with comparable tires is just about the same height, usually within 1/4" one way or the other. And yes, I have busted out the tape measure in many a parking lot A 2.5" level would likely put you a little higher than stock 4x4s.

My level did make my nose higher than the rear, and that's why I got the rear blocks. With both, you're guaranteed to maintain some proper rake and a more natural look.

I'm glad you decided that, and on your own too. It's just a lot of stuff going on and is really busy haha.
