Whew! I didn't notice that you were in Hawaii before. Do those flat rate boxes apply to you? I would expect them to be continental 48 deal.

Yes the flat rate boxes apply to Hawaii I use them all the time not sure why more people or business don't use them. I hate that a lot of company's treat hawaii like we are a third world country lol.

Quick question what the difference between the lift blocks and the lift shackles.

That's weird as hell then. That's probably part of why the damn post office runs in the red all the time. It honestly should cost more to send crap to the middle of the ocean But $100 is absurd and prices like that lose people business. Autospring is a small business, small enough that perhaps asking to talk to someone who may be able use a different shipper is a possibility. But I don't know how company-shipper relations work and if contracts are involved or not.

The shackles are what are attached to the end of the leaf pack and attach to the frame. The blocks sit underneath the whole leaf pack where it attaches to the axle. Both do the same thing, essentially. But blocks are more common, and probably for a reason. I've never heard of anything going wrong with shackles, but I can see them having a certain reasonable limit before they flex too much and may twist. I'm sure well-made ones that are an inch or two longer than factory won't be a problem.

I emailed Kevin from Auto Spring asking about the Flat rate boxes shipping. I hope they can do it really don't want to waste $74.00 for something that can be shipped for under $20.00.

Most people think shipping to Hawaii is real expensive and a lot of people are just try to make more money from the shipping.
I was just looking at replacing my truck floor carpet and the place quoted me $164.00 to ship thats bull crap hell i shipped 2 Suzuki 140hp outboards to Hawaii from Florida and it only cost $400. each motor.

Im also going to call my local junk yards and see if i can find a pair of stock 4x4 blocks then just order the front level piece from auto spring off ebay with free shipping.

Hopefully they can make it work.

I can certainly see companies doing that, but it also loses them business if it's toooo excessive.

That's probably the best route if you can find some.

I just received My 2'' Auto Spring Kit Today. I think they sent me the wrong rear blocks i measured them and they are 3'' blocks.
Shouldn't they be 2'' blocks is that how yours was if you could can you measure your rear blocks.
I checked the front and it is a 1.5''

1.5" is correct for the front because it changes the geometry to get 2". The blocks should be 2" only though. I looked at them again and they're right at 2". They likely sent you a 4x4 kit, unfortunately haha

LoL Thanks as soon as I looked at the rear blocks I knew they were to big
Hopefully he will send out the rear blocks ASAP and I can mail him back the wrong ones. Hope he won't charge me for shipping again. Since I already gotta pay for the return.

I'd try to get them to pay return too. They messed the order up, not you! You absolutely shouldn't pay for him to mail you the next set, that's for sure.

Just spoke with Kevin from Auto Spring this morning he's sending out a new set of rear blocks today.
He was very helpful and understanding and said they would refund me the return shipping. Im glad there are still companies out there that still have good customer service.

Finally getting around to installing. The auto spring lift kit tomorrow.
KMAC0694 you got any pointers to make it easier.
Also should I start at the front or the rear.

Definitely grab a buddy if at all possible. The thread(s) about the install are very helpful, so have one pulled up or printed out. It's tough getting the coilover assembly back in with the spacer on top. I used a crow bar to "coax" things. I really wouldn't have been able to do it without a second set of hands.

All 4 wheels need to be chocked and parking brake set, obviously. Unbolt the U bolts from one side at a time, put the block in, move to the next. For the rear, the vast majority of floor jacks can't get tall enough to unload the springs enough to lift them from the axle. For getting the truck up to slip the blocks in, one method is to take the floor jack and lift the truck up from under the leaf spring pack itself. Once you're in there, you'll see it's gotta be in just the right spot. I ended up doing this. Other way is placing wood underneath the floor jack and jacking it up from the tow hitch, which would be the preferred method. I'd definitely try the second method if you have enough wood handy to make it work. First method is more "precarious."

If you have trouble with the front, the rear is easier and takes half an hour once you know how to do it, so you can switch to those and feel accomplished
