Front Vibration when braking
Front Vibration when braking
2004 Fx4 screw 97K w/ 33" nitto grappler, rotors w slot and hawk pads approx. 20K ago.
Im not sure if its my new nitto grappler (approx. 1500 miles on it already) cause this.
high speed to almost stop, it doesn't vibrating at all...I noticed it will cause vibration when I brake it easy when theres yellow/red light or before the stop sign.
when to driving its not vibration at all...ONLY when to braking it to slow down. on my foot when apply to brake pedal, I can feel the vibration.
I checked the ball joints and theres no play in there.
I hope its not rotor warped.
any tips will be great!
thanks

Did you replace all 4 rotors? I had the same exact problem a year ago...
Changed out the fronts and still had the same problem... A buddy of mine (Ford Tech) mentioned that vibration from rear warped rotors can make your truck feel like the vibration is coming from the front of the vehicle instead... Changed my rears the next day and it drove good as new... Worth a shot...

btw.... before I was advised about the rear rotor change, I had already changed out almost everything on my front end... I installed Moog upper & lower ball joints, tie-rods & swaybar links... Figured I would change out my struts too since I was going have everything apart... (fortunately it gave me a reason to buy the Rancho Quiklifts and level out my truck)
Give the rear change a chance... Its too quick and easy of a job to not give it a shot first...

Yes Chris you are correct. It felt like its front but it's actually not.

Brought it in pro that speciality for trucks , diesel trucks, that my friend recommended me.
The whole front end was loose, all ball joints replaced ( it's 100k ) I requested to replaced it all at once.
Stabilize steering fixed.
They lifted the truck and it was
rear rotors!!!! They found vibration when applied braking.
Ordered rear rotors and hawk lts pads. Will replace it next week.
Thank you all.
