Power window issues 2006 F150
Good afternoon all... I'm hoping that you all can offer some advice and assistance with a problem I'm having with two of my power windows. I have a quad cab 4x4 F150 and the front passenger window and rear drivers side window will not go up or down.
Initially I thought it was the window regulator and motor so I went out purchased the replacement and installed it. After replacing the regulator it still did not raise or lower the window, either from the drivers side controls and the window controls themselves. So thinking that maybe drivers side door switch was bad I went out and picked on up, same thing...no control from either drivers door switch or the door switch itself.
At this point I was basically shotgunning the thing to get it to work. I'm not sure what's going on here. I'm an electronics tech by trade so have checked some of the leads for voltages, but really don't know which ones are the trigger since there are five wires on the switch.
Any and all advice and suggestions welcome. Seems as though my truck is starting to fall apart on me...this is the third straight problem I've had...all unrelated of course.. Thanks!

I think most of the wiring is on the driver's side switch. I'd get a wiring diagram and then run through the continuity checks with a volt meter. You can find a wiring diagram on-line or purchase one of the manuals from an auto parts store. The wiring diagram will tell you when you should see 12 volts in different switch positions.
Check the fuses before you do anything.

Thanks for the input! I was poking around reading some other threads and one of the posts mentioned all the wiring going through the rubber boot in the drivers side door. Well low and behold when I moved that around, one of the windows works. So pulled the boot back and found one wire completely cut in half and another with about two wires holding it together.
So I ended up cutting the rubber boot back, splicing the wires and then taping them up with electrical tape to help stabilize the rest of the wires in the bundle. Man talk about a headache! When I have more time I'm going to pull the door cover off, follow the wire and put in a better splice than what I did, but at least it works now and I didn't have t spend any money.
Cheers!

Passenger side front window does not function from door switch or driver's door switch. At night, when switch is lit, passenger door switch light dims when pressing driver's door switch. I have read most of the posts, think this is a bad motor ? Trying to save taking door apart twice if motor IS bad and don't want to order before taking apart to find it's actually switch or wire.
Since both switches don't work, that points to the motor. Still could be the switches corroded, but not likely both at the same time.
