I would vote the 1st hood only because the "nostrils" are a little more low profile than the other one.

I like them both, but the black one is a little more aggressive looking.

Lol those are the 2 I was looking at! I like the black one, I don't know how well the red one will function with ram air with how far back and how small the scoops are. I want to find one like the black one but with the air directed over my cold air intake instead of over the center of the engine. I have a 4.2l and they only make a ram air box for the 5.4l. If I get one that is directed to the center, I might get a used ram air box off of an older grand am gt and direct it thru my filter. It's gonna take some rigging but I think I can get it to work.

To hood- is up to you.

Of the two choices though I prefer the first (red) hood.

None. I prefer Cowel type hoods.

Definitely red vs. black, but my real vote is not to do one at all. That's my personal preference. They're an iffy mod as to whether or not they actually look better. And at $1k+, that's money to be better spent elsewhere.

Love the second bigger ram air hood, is that the GoodHood brand? I love those on lifted trucks. I debate whether mine can pull the look off without looking like too much. With the smaller scoops I feel it would be a near invisible hood on black paint.

I would vote the black one too.
But I saw a pretty nice looking cowl on a white flareside ,last weekend, that I would pick over those two.

I vote red. Looks good on the '04-'08's.

I'm partial to that one because it's the same style hood I put on my 1st Mustang, a '90 hatch, and loved it. It was just for looks though, not fully functional.

Well one day when it rains, look at your hood while you're driving. The water will kind of pool up halfway up because the air isn't hitting it to force to to move farther so I don't think the red one will work very well with how far back the scoops are. The black one is closer to the edge so it should pick up more air.
