she went in under the knife
I put 4.10's in mine a while back, and I love it. Could never imagine 4.56's unless I put larger tires on it.
While mine is manual... it's very easy and fun to drive. I can go from 2nd to 4th for city cruising, and highway literally from 2nd to 5th. Still gets decent mileage.
Makes towing and stump pulling very efficient.

If your doing stop and go and hill climbs, gears are definitely worth it. Especially if you are like me running big M/Ts that will never see the fields and mud. I would swap gears if I planned to keep it for 10+ years. MPG increase down low would totally be worth it. Less strain on the 'not-so-bulletproof' 4r75e would be good too.
Now its time for some 305/45-22 Terra Graps now!

Did you get another new truck?? Sheesh you're the next Desert Dawg LOL!
Hi Gbctrdrman,
I see your in East TX, where did you get the gears put in? I'm wanting to do the same and am very seriously thinking of 4.56 as I hear too many mixed reviews on Motives 4.30 gear whinning.
THanks,
Rob

Not to burst your bubble, but GBCTRDRMAN hasn't had any activity on the forum in over a year, so I wouldn't expect a response. You'd have better luck starting a new thread of your own instead of resurrecting a year-old thread.
