random stalling

About 2 years ago my truck randomly stalled while driving on the highway at a steady speed. When the engine died it was as smooth as could be like turning the key off. This happened 3 or 4 times then hasn't done it again until last week. No check engine light coming and I'm not getting and codes using my Excalibur II programer. When restarting it does take at least 3-6 attempts before it fires back up.

A couple of years ago I checked the FPDM and it was ok so I bolted it back on using spacers to get it off the frame so I don't think that is the issue but will double check when the weather improves a little.

Another thing it's been doing randomly lately is a slight misfire during light acceleration. Just a couple of hiccups and then it's fine. Also fine under hard acceleration.

The plugs where changed around 45k miles and currently at 104k miles. It's an 05 with the potential fuel injector problem. The oil on the dipstick has a gas odor but the oil level is ok. The odor doesn't seem much if any stronger than on my wifes car.

Any ideas on what's going on? Is there a way to check to see if an injector is leaking?

time to change the plugs again

clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner

clean the maf with maf cleaner

change the fuel filter

try to scan for stored codes...
