I think it looks pretty damn good. All the gaudy chrome has to go though, including the wheel well trim. If it doesn't come off "nicely," you can get some OEM FX4 flares to cover it up.

If you lower it, I'd keep the steps or get different ones because they make the truck look lower. If ya lift, I'd remove them to make it look higher. Then remove the FX2 stickers. It's decision time for which route you want to go down. For lift, you could also remove the lip on the bottom of the front bumper and get a non-painted one with or without tow hook holes. Just another trick to make it look taller.

Agreed, get rid of all of the chrome bits (especially the wheel arches) and get some PTM Lariat/FX4 flares in it's place, and PTM the handles/handle bezels. I like the FX2 lower valance lip, I'd leave it. I wish all of the trucks came with it, or better yet the Roush lower lip. Personally I like the height it currently sits, or maybe add a leveling kit at most.

Thanks for the compliments, I just inherited it from my father in law and this man was obsessed with maint + appearance. I'm going to lower it a bit and de-chrome it. If I raised it I would start using it as a truck and you know where that leads...

Barrett was joking because his is 2wd and has 8" of lift and mine is 2wd too with 2" added front and back and will also be lifted at some point.

2WD's get lowered, 4WD's get lifted. You don't want to look like a poser do ya?

I thought about both for a long time and finally lifted my 2wd and am glad I did. All up to you and what you want out of your truck.
