Any disadvantage of installing LT headers?

Will it be hard to get to any part with the LT headers installed?

I believe they main issue is getting the damn things installed. The passenger side is usually especially difficult. However, there's not a whole lot there to "block" off anyway, so you should be okay in that department. Main question is why are you installing them? It's not a bad mod, but unless you have other supporting mods it isn't a whole lot of bang for the buck.

Side note: with your '04, you'll have to deal with the front pair of catalytic converters somehow. The LT's will cook those cats pretty quickly from what I understand. A set of hi-flow cats should do fine.

Aside of the agony of install, and the high cost of buying a quality set.

I never knew you could run LTs with the front cats, the angle of them has always made it look impossible to run all 4 cats with LTs.

I'm almost at 100,000 miles so I wanted to give it a little more power and I saw some headers with cats included but I wanted to make sure it didn't interfere with anything else once I have them installed

the higher quality sets have less install issues....ie...better design....get the headers with matching mid pipes then throw everything before the cat back portion if the exhaust....

Darren, I didn't think you could run them with the front cats, either. I just figured he'd have to go to a 2-cat system, and have the additional 02-sensor bungs welded on or use an o2-sensor emulator on them.

Can't you just take the cats out? If your state doesn't do emission checks I would just do a cat delete because that sounds to be the easiest way of installing them based upon what these guys are saying. I do agree though, quality over price.

They're kind of a pain in the ***, period. If all you want it power, it's not worth it at all, but they sound amazing! I didn't notice much power change, even with custom tunes, but they're certainly a lot louder. I wouldn't run stock cats with them and I don't have any at all.
