Another check engine light on my truck PO303

Well last night on my way to work the CEL came on truck seemed to be running fine. Went to AutoZone this morning on my way home from work had the code read its a PO303. Shouldn't be the plugs as I had them changed back in June or about 15k miles ago as there were done at 131k truck now is about 50 miles shy of 147k. Had new boots put on all the coil packs when plugs were changed. They said it could be crank case sensor or the o2. What are your thoughts on what it might be.

Hi.

2005? - could be an injector....

Also - plugs/Cops have been known to have infant mortality. ( You did not mention dielectric grease usage either ). Additionally, too much hi-temp nickel anti-sieze on the plug ground sleeve can migrate down and foul a plug.

What plugs and Cops were used?

Well the plugs should be motorcraft the coil packs are original to the truck except for the one on #2. It was replaced when plugs were done. Now for the nickel anti-sieze since I had it done at the quick lane at my Ford dealership so if the dumba$$ tech put too much on then it their fault for the foul plug. If it ends up being that I'll make them eat the cost on the plug. The strange thing this morning when I left work the CEL didn't come on when engine started like it did after the code tripped. So it looks to be an intermitten problem which is hard to track down the exact cause.

to see if its a coil on plug (cop for short) ..clear the pcm of codes with a scanner or battery disconnect....then swap the known bad one with a good one....if the misfire follows then you know its the cop....if it doesn't follow there are other issues it could be... http://www.obd-codes.com/p0303
