Stock H13 Halogen VS Retrofitted H1 Projectors

Just to show why this is such a useful mod (besides the looks), take a look at these comparison pictures. They were all taken with a cell phone camera and all with the same phone.

Very good comparison! That is perhaps deserving of placement in another thread, or its own.

Hi.

Those are MH1's correct? What colour temperature?

Too much foreground light, IMHO.

Try locking in the white balance if possible - it's all over the map here.

BTW - I likes the Stock lows & highs togedder meesef

Yes, MH1 Projectors and that is with 4300K bulbs. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I love being able to see at night and not feeling like I shouldn't drive over 40mph.

I didn't mess with camera settings so that the comparison would be as equal as possible.

We can't drive around all the time with stock lows and highs on, so the projectors give you better performance than that without blinding everyone!

It's nice especially with it getting dark outside so early this time of year.[

Hi. Relax - I was just kidding (no harm, no foul). But that just underscores how crucial camera settings are in these cases - I know for a fact that typically the results look vastly different in person.

And - foreground lighting is actually not good - sure, perception is that it is, of course, but the reality is it's a detriment to acuity.

Where TF is Craptor when I need 'im

And that's why cellphones should never have had cameras to begin with ( SELFIE-CRAZY! LMFAO !!! )

Anyway - sorry for the threadcrap - I do agree with KMACaroni. And as always, nice work. I sincerely hope you do well .

No offense or anything like that taken! I enjoy a nice conversation. I don't have a professional camera and using an older digital one would take twice as long to get pictures from, so this is what I have for now.

It's definitely different in person, and it's also true that projectors light up the road much better than our stock headlights.

Anyways, you're welcome to post any time you'd like, and thank you!

Don't worry, I sent him a PM a while ago

It sure is! I just sold what was supposed to be my set of lights, but I guess that gives me an excuse to build another one!
