Just picked up a '08 Lariat Screw a few weeks ago. It has the Auto Locks set to "ON" so when you put it into gear all doors lock. Is there away to make them Unlock when you go back into park? My wife's '06 Explorer has that option. Every time we go anywhere and stop to get out, I get yelled at to unlock the doors first, cause the rear door won't open. I have to check, but I could swear my '01 King Ranch Screw would unlock the door from the inside when you try to open the door (as long as the child locks were off). Is this something that can be changed??

the front doors will unlock when you open the doors, but the rear ones don't unlock by pulling the handle. the child locks just prevent kids in the back seat from pulling up on the lock plunger, unlocking the door then being able to open the door from the inside. not sure if these trucks can be programmed to unlock the doors or not

 

I'd be interested as well if there is a way, but literally every Ford F-series truck does that. I know some the newer ones (09+) that are all fancy can be programmed, but not sure about the 04-08s. I hate that the doors don't unlock, even when shutting the truck off, but you get used to it

It's not so bad becasue our doors unlock when you pull the handle ... there are so many cars that do not do that

I pull and smoosh into the door haha in other vehicles like wtf!
