It helps electrical specialists in eFans drivers.

Hi, I have a problem with eFans 2010 installed on my FX4 2007 supercharged. When eFans buy, try to buy a FK85 of DCCONTROLS, but Mr. Brian in the end did not want to sell it, because it buy a Painless 30140 F5, this has been a headache, so much so that I have the 2 fans working directly 100%. I have to find an alternative and found this: Programmable Electronic Fan Controller 70 Amp The PAC-2700. Anyone have any information about their quality and reliability of these? , But I have another important question: See what people say about Dakota Digital, which contradicts the other variable speed drives and soft start. Who is right: (I have read several posts where they have had problems with the controllers installed with these eFans Spal 2010).

* From what I can tell the controller FK85 That You are Referring to varies the voltage going to your electric fans to Increase or Decrease the cfm provided by the fan. With the Dakota Digital PAC-2700 Either your fans are on or off at full volume. You will Also have the capability of wiring 2 fans to operate at two completely different temperature settings for Both on and off. We Feel That modulating the voltage to your fans will Greatly reduces the lifespan of your fans Unless específicamente They are designed to operate on lower than 12VDC. Most fans have a 12VDC coil and in some instances have 2 - 12VDC coils so you can have a high and low speed but Both coils requires a 12VDC power supply to operate Correctly. Also With our controller you are running low voltages to and from the controller and Relying on relays to handle the current needed for the fan. This Allows for cheaper and Easier repairs as you will not Have to replace the controller but instead the relays Which are on average $ 30 and can be found at any automotive parts store or car audio installer in the nation.

The Flexalite variable speed controller above doesn't deactivate when you are above a certain speed but is reliable and I have used it in every electric fan install I have done in my jeeps as well as the electric fan install in my F150 which I did at 70k miles and still is running fine at 100 k

Efan controllers.......
I bought a Painless F5, and it "burned up" the day after I installed it (literally smoking!)
Painless tech support was great, they also told me that the F5 I purchased
was no longer in production and was being redesigned because of the issue I had, but that was 2011.
I researched controllers, and most were mainly on/off switches controlled by a temperature sensor.
Those controllers do what they are designed to do.
You do NOT want an on off switch with the 2010 fans.
These fans at 100%! My gosh are they loud!
The fans together pull 66 amps at 100%.
They also pull @6000 cfm.
Member on another f150 forum bought a controller from mad enterprise.
He got no support and subsequently had to take it off his truck because it didn't work. Mad enterprise unit was a basic on off switch for his fans. His relay burned up because it was not rated for the amp draw of the motorcraft fans. Sounded like his unit couldn't handle the current draw.
I did purchase a FK85 from Brian Baskin at dccontrol.com
I am very happy with it, and it has pulse width modulation (the F5 did also),
and a soft startup. I have read up on pulse width modulation and no where did I read about voltage changes.
Don't know why Brian would not sell you one.

Yeah, I'm in big trouble, drivers Flex-a-lite, most experiences I've read do not bear much, even though there are some good experiences, but, at this time would you like all of the options as well as the Spal. Only I have the option of DAKOTA DIGITAL and I do not.
