Brake Lights

I have a 2005 F-150;
My problem is that even when the truck it off the break lights stay on. The guys at the dealership said it was something to do with the "break light swich." While driving I hear a click sound from the left side on the dish; believe down by break in the cab. I really don't want to take it to the dealer and I have time on my hands to fix it. Any ideas anyone???????

I'm not sure. If you start searching elsewhere, try brake, not break. You will probably get more results that way.

BTW. If you haven't already, try engaging and disengaging the parking brake.

There's a brake switch on the brake pedal, it's got a yellow clip retainer on the side of it holding the pin in place.
