2" vs 2.5" leveling kit

I notice that a lot of people have the 2.5" kit installed but not all of them look level. I've seen quite a few 2.5" kits that cause the front of the truck to look slightly higher than the rear. Others, it looks perfectly level.

I'm glad I went out to my truck and literally measured pavement-to-top-of-fender in the rear and front and there was exactly 2" of difference, so I ordered the 2" autospring kit, which was perfect for my truck (glad I didnt order the 2.5" kit).

I wonder why some trucks only need a 2" kit vs a 2.5" kit... maybe something to do with a difference for the FX4s?

Looks good! And all trucks are different, every option you add/don't add effects the weight just like the engine, stuff in the back seat, etc can all effect it's ride height, plus age is a factor too. Generally though 06-08 need 2" and 04-05 need 2.5".

My first '04 was nose down compared to my next '05. Spring pack looked different in the back as well, and I believe the arch was cambered differently. Both were 4WD scabs.
Truck looks good!

I got Rancho 2.5" leveling struts and measured garage floor to fender, I barely gained 2"s of level from them. But it sits perfectly to the eye, but the back is 0.5" higher.

I have an 05 fx4 scab. I used the Ranchos also and I have a small amount of rake still but I think it looks fine. Im wondering how much it will help me the next time I tow anything.

The leveling kit isn't going to help your towing much at all.. Neither will bigger tires if you added those too..

A 2" level made mine sat about .5" higher in front. I then added a 2" block in the back and am happy with how it sits

Good example right here. A 2.5" made mine just .5" lower than my factory rear. Yours was 2" leveled and sat higher. Is your truck 2wd? If so did you use OEM 4wd rear blocks? I was afraid I would need a 3" block in back but to very very slight disappointment, the front was still lower than the rear. But it still looks exact level to the eye so I am very happy.

On my '04 with the Autospring 2.5" I sat .75" higher in the rear than the front. I have since replaced the AS with Rancho Quick Lift Loaded 2.5 and I seem to have narrowed that to .5".

Having said that, I am still slightly nose down. Not bad, nowhere near as bad as stock...

Mine is a 2006 2wd and I added the 2" auto spring block. I wanted some OEM 4wd cause they are supposedly a little less than 2". Funny thing is that there was almost 2" of rake stock, I added 2" in front and back, and now have a little under 1" of rake haha. But that's exactly how I want it. I like just a tad of visible rake
