Question Headlight Hazing

Mine show no signs of it, yet. Will the 05-08 F150's headlights eventually haze like so many other vehicles headlights haze? Is there a type of aftermarket plastic headlight that does not haze?

I have not seen any turn yellow. They get pitted and I have a set that has some crazing on the surface that is visible at night with the lights on.
I replaced the crazed ones with Hellas blackout carbon fiber look ones. So far so good.
Oh I got 190k+ out of the original ones. They still work just fine and look OK during the day, they look a little frosted at night when they are on. (they could be had cheap

The plastic will start to haze from the sun, haven't seen too many get yellow though. Mine have seen 7 years of Texas sun and are beginning to get a little blur building up on the top of them. The sun just breaks the plastic down, it's inevitable and will happen to every headlight on very vehicle at some point. But our headlights are much better than most other vehicles. You can just buy cheapies off of eBay for about $80 and they'll last a few years. Put extra silicon on the seal and you're all set. Replacement ones from Rockauto are about $300, so I'll run through 4 cheap sets and be better off

If you polish them with PlastX periodically, that will help keep them from clouding. PlastX has UV inhibitors.

I use this kit to keep them in tip top shape....

althought most of the Ford headlights that I've seen that had the hazing problem were in the 80's and 90's most of the ones produced in the late ninetys and on seem not to have those issues. so the producers must have changed the formula for the pkastic.....now the aftermarket ones are a crap shoot....

I just got down restoring my Visteon clear Chrome lightning tails....they were yellowing and starting to haze...

That's what I use a couple time a year too, not that mine needs it but just for prevention and protection.

I also wax them whenever I wax my truck.

If anyone needs to replace them, our video will show you how to do that.
