Maybe that helps? Either way it's yours on Sunday.
Looks like the shed is a pretty awesome place. Not that pickers can be choosers, but could you take a shot head on looking into the front? It looks like it actually receives the shifter cable in the direct front? Again thanks for offering to let me borrow it for a bit!

Yeah I can do that when I get home. If your still willing to pass on your current console when your finished with it, the shifter is yours to keep if you want it.

I don't need it to keep, just to borrow for a bit. Your still welcome to my console either way. I just can't promise you how much time it will take me to get this all done. I also noticed that shifter has a M position, so it wouldn't work for me either ways. I do like it much better than our body style's shifter though.

I thought I'd responded a minute ago, but I guess not. First time on the forum on my new phone. Anyway, I'll bring it Sunday and do what you need with it.

The subaru shifter cable mount on the shifter is much different.

You have two options, make F150 shift cable work on whatever shifter you decide.
Or make shifter linkage work with F150 transmission. But the cable will need to be long enough

Right now I'm going for making the F150 shift cable work. But the shifter I choose must be somewhat close to being compatible. By this I mean the shifter must operate mechanically similar to the F150 shifter. I don't mind to do the mods to make them link and all that, but I need to make sure the shifter operates similarly to move the F150 shift cable in the same manner as the stock shifter.

I just remembered I've got a spare 04-08 shifter that's missing a few trim pieces, but the main body is there. LMK if it might interest you.

Want to give a big thanks to animated_zombie for lending me his 09+ auto shifter. In the one day I have had this shifter it has really started to grow on me. I like it much more than the 04-08 body style.

My only issue with it is the gears are P,N,R,D,M,1,2. In order for me to use it I would need to eliminate the last position. Its something I'm considering doing. Putting a stop in to not allow it to move back to the last position and making a new faceplate. (I was planning a custom faceplate, indicator, anyways.)

Anyways, hope you don't mind I tore your shifter all apart.

Watson,

Sorry I haven't gotten those final measurements to you...life is crazy. I'll try Tuesday, when I'm off.

I haven't done much else so far. I ordered a digital caliper today so I could get some accurate measurements from the shifter. Trying to use a full size tape measure is near impossible. I have the rough measurements for the outline of the console. The next thing I will be working on is the plate that will display the gear selection and that the shifter will come through. Once I get the caliper and some designs done I will post them up.
