Hey, pretty happy with my 5star tune/afe intake. My only complaint is that the rev limiter was set too low before i even knew how to work the device. The rpm at WOT 1-2shift was like 5200ish but the Rev Limiter was 5250. Not a big deal, just called Mike and he said set it to 5500rpm. i have never hit a rev limiter in my life, at least not in a newer vehicle and it scared me. Thought i really hurt something. I think it did it just because i was hot roddin' the truck while goin downhill, maybe the momentum pushed the truck passed its rev limit. I have made several videos stock vs 5star...the BIGGEST increase was my 30mph to 70mph video which was almost a full second increase. I need to make a 70mph to 100mph stock vs 5star video, that one will really shock ya on how much extra giddy up my Big Blue Buddy has now! For just a intake/tune, needless to say, i cant be happier. I was ready to trade this truck in on a new 5.0 if Ford ever offered a 0% interest, but now, this truck will be in the family for a good while now. I know i have said this to you over the phone Mike, but thank you again.

OH and I wanted to just give a review on my AFE Intake....I bought my truck new from the dealer in 2008. I wanted them to add a AirAid and a Magnaflow exhaust, no tune what so ever. For almost 48,000miles my AirAid ALWAYS had a flat spot in the RPMS around 3,000rpms to 3,600rpm at part throttle. Now remember, no tune from Ford, those guys should know how lean this trucks run anyway, I even told Mike about it. Did my plugs at 50,000miles and they were pink. Anyway, WITH NO TUNE i installed my AFE intake that i bought from 5star ( i needed time to kill while Mike wrote my 5 tunes) and went out and drove the truck. Dont know if it was the new plugs or just a better intake but the truck had no flat spots and ran fine. BTW, anyone that thinks that just putting a cold air intake on these trucks "makes em fast" need to get real. Just because you spent alot of money doesnt mean the truck is "fast". Yeah, the truck has alil more pep off the line but woopie, not $300bux worth. Yeah, it sounds fast, but make yourself a video of stock 0 to 60 vs AFE intake 0 to 60 and study the results...you will be buying yourself a tuner from Mike at 5star

Also, anyone ever thinkin about doin Longtubes, Mike said it really wakes up the 5.4 and they do sound pretty tough. I just crawled under and saw the passenger side manifold about a good 2inches away from the frame...yeah...truck runs fine with out em!!
