Yeah I don't know. In front of my house. 3 feet of the truck in the street at the most and probably not even that much. 5:30 Wednesday morning of May 8 so about two weeks ago. Haven't gotten around to posting because it's near the end of school(Thank God) so err' body gotta give us work out of the wazoo. And I forgot how bad cutting grass was in this Louisiana heat. I'm earning my money though.
I knew the car to. He lives right down the street. Knew for a fact that there was a picture on the dash and sure enough there was. Guy isn't all mentally there and he takes prescription Oxycontin. Hit my truck then the dumpster in front of the construction site. His car is totaled. Mine is close to it. His insurance company gave an estimate of $4,100 but that only replaced the body panels and the whole bed needed to be replaced which is what is happening. Should be in tomorrow. About $6k in damage. Close to totaled. The front bumper is also being replaced even though I damaged that myself. Getting a new exhaust tip. Can't stand the look of that small, nasty looking tailpipe. The truck moved a good 20 feet to. I was going to get tint that Thursday to but that got pushed back. Couldn't imagine why though.

Some of these were taken before school and some after. The rental is a 2013 Silverado. Say what you want about Chevy but it is a nice truck. I was actually happy to be in brand new truck but I miss mine. I mean sure the rental has a V8 and is new but I want my truck. I have to say though I am amazed at how crappy people treat rentals. There was some sort of bone in the bed and cosmetic blemishes on the interior that I am pretty sure did not come with the truck. ****, one of my friends told me he had a 2012 rental Silverado and threw it into reverse doing 60 on the highway. I know its a rental but people sure treat things like crap. The one thing I will miss in the Chevy is the V8 and A/C. Mine sucks. Should get my girl back next week. Might do some trail riding this summer with a friend who has a Raptor. Sorry, Dad's Raptor. Good guy though.

However excuse for stepside bed? Or at least Harley tails?
Use a crappy situation to upgrade!
..that's how I got my bumper with fog lights..

Best of luck, and keep us updated.
Good luck with things OP.
Most people these days don't feel that a GM/dodge is a bad truck , but i think Ford wins in the looks department by a long ways over the Silverarado, and has many more innovative features. You probably like it a lot due to going to a nicely-equipped truck from a bare-bones model, too.

Appreciate it guys. I honestly thought about the step side. Really like them but it was to late and the new bed was already ordered. I'm only 17 and my dad is handling most of this but if it were me I would have gotten the step side. Saw one at the gym yesterday and really liked it. Perhaps if I had posted this earlier I would have gotten the step side or Harley Tails. Oh well. At least I'm getting a new front bumper out of it.
@Sooner I think that is one reason why. My truck is simple. Wish I had a few extra things but I'm not gonna complain. When push comes to shove, I like the simple things in life.

Update: The bed came in and some way or another it was the wrong one. The new one and hopefully correct one will be in tomorrow. Anyway, happy Memorial Day. Hope you gentlemen have a great holiday
Well, my truck has just about every option available in an F-150 in 2008, so I can probably give that Chevy you rented a run for its money, lol. I don't really use the NAV system in my truck, but it sure does look pretty. I do use the hell out of the moonroof/power back glass, probably almost daily, and who doesn't like remote start and heated seats?! I like the simple things too (fewer items to eventually break), but I've never owned a non-Lariat truck, so my trucks have always been nicer than the plain-jane versions.
@Sooner I do wish I had leather seats in my truck. I know a guy who may be able to get some for me. I like the simple things but heated and cooled seats would be nice. So would the nav system. Hardly know any streets. Can't blame you for the moonroof and back glass. I would to.
@Pockets Sorry to hear that brother. But hey, when life gives you lemons make lemonade. Hope it works out for you.

Well after about a month I finally got her back yesterday. It took so long because they kept getting the wrong parts. Bed came in and it was 5 feet not 6 and had no tail gate or tail lights. Tail gate came in and it was the wrong one and they sent one correct tail light and one from another year and I have no clue how one does that but whatever. She looks fantastic. Took her out for an evening drive along the lake front.
First, here is the rental. All in all not a bad truck. Cost- $1,200. Thankfully not my or my parents money. Picture was taken at our summer camp.
And finally she lives again.
The side that actually took the blow

Next week I am getting tint, something I thought I was going to get a month ago.
