Manny, if you have 4wd it's going to cost you at least $1600 parts and labor to regear. Find a good reputable driveline or 4wd shop and tell them what you want. You sound like you don't have much of a clue about gears and regearing differentials is not something an inexperienced mechanic should attempt.

 

Bingo -- from the questions the OP is asking, my guess is that he would have no business trying to do this work on his own. I have little doubt he will be much better off paying someone who knows what they are doing to perform this job.

I was looking at the 4Wheel store, they have it, but i dont know if they do installations too.

 

If it's only a 2wd, figure $800. You will also need $400 or so for a programmer and tunes. Gears and tunes may be enough to satisfy you, if you still want more power, open your wallet WIDE. You may want to just trade the truck in for one with a bigger engine.

 

I'm up in Tomball, so I don't know any of the shops out where you are.

I dont mind driving to Tomball if you have a good shop overthere!!!

This is my plan ( let me know what u think)

1-Change gears
2.-XCal tune
3.-K&N Air filter ( does this really works????)
4.- Supercharge ( i saw them around 4K)

I am not going to do everything at once , but i will start in that order, unless that I missing something??

Others may disagree with me, but I've never noticed any discernible difference with a K&N filter.

 

Leave the air filter out. The rest is okay. Gears/programmer will likely give you the performance you were looking for.

 

There's an independent shop up here in Tomball called Ken's Auto that I've always had good luck with -- you can give them a shout to see if they'd do something like this.
