Replacing front bumper

hi there!

I got 06 f150 with not fog light front bumper, I want to replace it with one with fog lights, which ones would fit my truck? do i need to stick with any bumper from 04-08? or there is some of the 09+ models that work on my truck too?

Thanks!

06-08 will be a direct swap. 09 will not work without changing the front end. 04-05 will need all new brackets and the like.

If you want it to look factory stock you would need to replace your light switch.

I have an O7 STX. Pretty simple truck. I have to turn the lights on manually. I put lights inside my cab which I have now taken out. I ran the wire from the lights to the switch to turn my lights on. I stripped the wire a bit and twisted it and stuck it next to the factory wire. So whenever I put my lights, running lights or head lights, my cab lights would come on. I couldn't tell you how to do a new switch but I'd like to know. Thinking about putting some lights behind the grille. You could do that to. Just make a bracket for the lights. I can't seem to find the thread some guy posted who had a truck similar year to ours. He did what I was thinking and gave step by step instructions with pictures.

Here's what I do know. I've been gathering parts for this. You need to be careful with the switch. A few years ago I picked up a new one for this reason and instead of the connection being a square it was circle. I not sure when ford switched. I'm just going to use a separate switch now. Just need the bumper and add wiring now.

You may already know this but: The only wire routed to the dash switch is the low amperage wire to the relay. The high voltage wire to the fog lights is routed from the relay. This minimizes the risk of a fire under the dash.

Did the same thing to my truck but had a local custom shop do the wiring. The wired the fog lights directly to the battery and to the parking lights. So everytime the ambers come on (but not on the turn signals) the fogs turn on.

ok I installed the bumper this weekend, and it fit perfectly but size are not the same!!!!!!!!!

My truck is a 06 XLT, so I got a 07 FX2 ( I guess) with fog lights, the bumper is 1/2 smalller than mine!!! so I have a gap of 1/2!! i will post picture soon to see if there is a way to fix that or not!

What do you mean there is a gap? Where is the gaps, at the corners? That is an alignment issue. Loosen the mounting bolts and have someone help angle it right, then tighten down.

If it is the corners of the bumpers by the fender wells, that is fixable, its not aligned properly. Loosen the 4 large nuts on the bumper brackets ( two per side ) a few turns until you can wiggle the bumper up and down, and have someone help angle it and verify that you have an equal gap on each side.
