Need help with rear rotors

I have a 04 FX4 and need to replace the rear rotors. They have been replaced once by the previous owner. When I look at rockauto is has rear rotors listed for after 12/04 and 11/04 and before. Mine was built 06/04 and from what I can tell they upgraded the rotors after 12/04. How can I tell if mine were upgraded or what rotors to get?

Look at your build date on your door jam.

In my org. post I wrote that it is 06/04. What I am wondering is what was the upgrade after 12/04. Can I just buy the newer rotor or is everything different? (caliper pads etc)

There must have been a design change,You need to order the ones that correspond with your build date if you order the wrong ones they most likely won't fit & you will end up returning them.
