Question Help Please cooling F150

We have ford f150 2008 - 5.4 v8 engine. A few days ago it started running hot. Hubby changed the radiator and hoses. Now my gauge runs exactly on the half way mark. Before the problems it run between 1/4 and 1/2 mark. Is this normal or does something else need to be changed ? Please help.
