2008 F150 crew 5.4L 4x4 light flash 1 time and no engagment
Hello ! 1st time poster here...
I have a 08 F150 crew...bought the truck just over a year ago, and we got some some snow up here in Mass. so i tried the 4wheel drive and got nothing ! no light , no sounds, nothing...
I checked the mini fuses and they seemed fine, gave a visual to the iwe vaccume solenoid at the firewall and all connections seemed good...
After retrying the 4hi switch was able to get 4hi light to flash on and then go rite out ! Also no clunking or grinding sounds coming from anywhere...
Any help out there ??
Thanks for any and all responses ...

update: replaced mini fuses and 30a cartrige fuse...no change
went under hood with engine running and played with IWE vaccume and got 4hi lite to come on and front wheels engaged..then couldnt get to disengage of course...lol
Fiddled around and finally got disengaged...felt clunky in front wheels when just testing on wet pavement when turning....thinking its gotta be the IWE solenoid at firewall...$68 bucks at my local...stay tuned
