Dash Ghost

Hey all. 04 5.4l. I got in it and drove 2 miles no problem. Got on highway and got into it. Dash shut down. Truck runs fine. Got of highway and at idle, air came on and nothing else. As soon as i pushed the gas, air shut off. Got home and pulled codes off the edge evo and PO622 Electric field....... P2006 Intake stuck open bank 1. I do not think they are related. When the dash is not operating, the air bag light is also on. When I come to a stop, There is a weird noise coming from the inside passanger side under hood. It seems to have somthing to do with the air on and off????. Went out today and battery completly dead??? Any help is appreciated

Bad battery? These trucks do strange things when the battery gets weak.

I'm betting the alternator died. Throw the battery on a charger and go have the alternator tested.

FYI My alternator died Labor Day weekend. I got it tested twice and both times it came back putting out 14.5-15 amps. I slapped a new one on and haven't had a problem since.

My '00 F250 work truck did a similar thing last week. I started it up and nothing on the dash worked- no speedometer, no radio, no wipers, no vents, no turn signals, etc. The airbag light and abs light were on the whole time. When I got to a red light I shut the truck off and restarted it and its been fine.

I think it might be something related to the ignition because I just had the ignition switch replaced at a dealer and picked it up that same day.

No dead battery or alternator though.

Thanks

Thanks Guys for the replies. I charged the battery all day yesterday and drove it today. No problems for about 2 miles. My daughter needs to get to work now so I told her to keep an eye on it. I will test alternator when she gets home. I will keep an update

Test it while it's hot, preferably as soon as she pulls in the driveway.
