on "on" and "set" buttons work on cruise control.

Hi guys. My name is Lance and I'm new to the forum. I am having a problem with my cruise control on my 2004 supercrew xlt that I can't seem to find the solution to. The cruise works but only the on and set buttons work. The off, coast, and resume buttons don't function at all. I tried doing the diagnostic test but since the off button doesn't respond that method didn't work for me. Is it possible that just those switches are bad? Any help would be greatly appreciated. That's for reading.

Disconnect your battery for 5 minutes to reset the computer. Then see what happens.

I actually put a new heater core in yesterday so the battery and the PCM were out of the truck for about 5 hours. Still the same outcome.
