I have seen pic of of 04-08 Trucks with the 09+ side badges. I want to do this to my 05 Lariat. Where are you getting them and are there option to them like Lariat and stuff. I did a search and did not find anything. Also how do you install them thanks.

Got mine from Tascaparts.com. Install is very easy as they just replace the old ones. The pin holes line up on the fenders but for the tailgate you either have to cut off the tabs on the regular one or get the tailgate emblem for a flareside truck. They will have the alignment pins that match.

 

Just put mine on not even 30 minutes ago lol. People check the prices for sure... tascas store on eBay is cheaper with free shipping v their cheap Ford store price yet shipping.

 

Yup thats where I got mine for my 06 Lariat. I used fishing wire to get the old ones off and some beyond clay to remove the old glue.

 

Also, a heat gun (hairdryer will work too) and a trim removal tool with a t shirt works well since you can work your way around it. Had the emblems off in literally 2 minutes.

 

Yeah I got mine from a vendor for Tasca on F150forum. It was like 6 months ago and it was $110 for all 3 i believe.

 

Be sure to check Tasca for pricing before checking their store on eBay....I just purchased all three badges for my 07 FX4 through TascaParts.com for $96.00 with the shipping...It's worth to do the compare.

 

That sounds better than the $116 that I keep finding. That is the reason I haven't bought them yet. Screw $100+ for 3 badges.

 

Same here.. I can't quite justify $100+ for new badges just yet. Maybe when I get mine repainted I'll get them while I'm spending some money lol.

Anyone have some pictures of the newer badges on their 04-08? I know they look great on the newer trucks so I'm sure they look great on ours as well.

 

I'll try to get a pic for you over the weekend....looks pretty good. Haven't got the Tailgate one on yet so it will just be the front fender.

Would you happen to have the part numbers for the sides and whichever rear badge that's the best fit?

Since I'll be getting my truck repainted after winter, I might as well make sure I have everything ready to go. I personally am not a fan of my current side badges, the big chrome rectangle(s) just aren't my taste.

 

Yeah, I just looked on Tasca and even shipped the badges will be $114 to my door. Dang. It isn't that I can't afford it but I just think it is crazy spending that much money on name plates. Oh well, what is cheap anymore.

I almost got a set of them for an FX4 though they were already attached to the truck, a silver 2012 loaded FX4 Lux left over. Lucky for me though someone already bought it. Saved me money because I really wanted to go for it .
