Hey guys. I jus bought an 05 SCAb, and will be adding heated mirrors, along with the rear defrost. What is the part number for the heater button, which I believe is part of the control module? Will this be able to also control the rear defrost?

You will also need the fuse box assembly as the fuse space in the current box is not wired. I had to do the same thing.....entire fuse box and HVAC control assembly. Not sure on an 05, but my 07 had the wiring in the harness, just needed the box and the control.

your best bet is to contact a ford dealer to get the correct part number. i have an 04 f150 screw and added heated mirrors and ordered a new hvac control head to get the heated mirrors to work, it was used and then my hvac system didn't work properly, turns out they have different p/n's through the years so i had to order a new one and cost around $250. i think you can get them the button controls heated mirrors and back glass. i know alot of the guys around here recommends tasca ford.

You should call TascaParts.com and get a quote. The HVAC control is around $250 +/- and the fuse/relay box is around the same, possibly less complete with fuses and relays. I know it cost me around $550 for the conversion.

There are a bunch of threads about what you're trying to do, and the search feature is the best way to get all the info you need.

Thanks for the info guys. I found a heater control out of a 35k mile 05 SCAB from a local wrecking yard, and they may have the fuse box out of the same truck. I will keep you all posted. I am going to install the 13 powerscope mirrors on my 05, so stay tuned!!
