Tool Box Bed Cover

Hello all, new here but not new to modding and working on vehicles. I recently picked up 2004 fx4 extended cab 6.5 foot bed. It came with with a very nice black tool box in the bed that I would like to keep but I also need a bed cover. Ive never used a cover with a box. What are my options for the covers that work with the boxes? What is everyone using? Are these pretty much water tight like my other regular trifold cover was?

Is the tool box you like below the bed side tops where a bed cover will cover it or is the tool box one that sits across the top of the bed rails behind the cab?

It sits up on top of the bed rails and goes across the bed behind the back window.

Check with your local Accessories dealers. They may be able to custom order a cover for you that will fit behind the toolbox. This is what I'm going to do once I figure out which box I want to use. I know for sure that the TruXedo Lo Pro QT can be custom ordered to any size you want. The dealer will just need to take a few measurements of your bed with the box installed to order it.

Yeah .... what 08 said. I have seen a video of a big guy jumping on a LoProQT, tough cover, snug fit, no ripples, and easy on / off as needed and it locks. My truck had one on it when I got it, they have a lifetime warranty on the cover.
