2006 Ford F-150 XLT Emblems Help
I would like to buy and add some 2009-2012 F-150 Emblems but for the tailgate should I get the Pin Style:

Do I have to make modifications to make them fit & if so then what do I do.

All I know is if you want the tailgate one to sit flush, to order the Flareside one. I would assume that it would be the pin one because I got these emblems in Red and Black and got the clip style. I had to cut the clips off (easy, since everything is plastic) and just put a little extra 3M tape on it and it looks fine. Either way you can get them to work since you can cuts the clips off.
