What The HECK Is This!?

This is located above the spare tire next to the fuel pump control module. I have to remove the bracket, but it is holding this large "thing" that I have no idea what it is. It has what looks like a cable or something going to it that runs forward. I'm hoping someone can tell me what it is and do I need it!! The bracket has to go, but this is attached to it.

Would a jack stand help?

Can I be nosey and ask why the bracket has to go?

Mines a little different setup, but I had to cut the bracket and move it up to clear for the rear sway bar I added

Believe me!! I'm not a fan either, or at least this DJM one. I added the Watts to help with movement. If I had it over to do again, I'd go a different route for sure!!! This was my first flip kit.

P.S. I still have to do some adjusting on the Watts today, the crossbars are not quite right, but my exhaust is not allowing optimum positioning.
