New mirrors for the truck!

Well after 6 months of ownership, Im finally tired of the Towing mirrors. I have a love/hate relationship with them. Love the looks and visibility of them but HATE parking with them at work and people about taking them off going down the road.

I park between two support poles at work and each and every morning, I have to roll window down, pull mirror in, then finish backing up. Aggravating!

mine is the white truck. see all the stupid poles....

So I worked out a deal with a buddy on here (kozal01) and he is bought my towing mirrors and I bought with that money these mirrors:

I know chrome dont get you home, but it ties all the chrome together on my truck (step rails, LT Handles, and grill surround).

Im losing my puddle light capability on the towing mirrors, SOOOOO i ordered two of these off of ebay to compensate. I was going to mod them onto the bottom of the mirrors, BUT decided to put them on the bottom of my step rail instead

Nice mirrors Dixie, how much were the mirrors? Chrome on white looks good!

Tow mirrors are nice, I'm of the few that wouldn't put them on

the new mirrors were $218, so not too bad. that's with heat, signal, power:

the quality looks good, but I was told by another member they wouldnt be ideal for puddle lights due to a diffuser type lens on them

Just put that same set on my truck two weeks ago (need to change sig)..so far the quality seems to be there for cheap mirrors..everything works well..like the twin signal leds, front and rear.

how difficult were the mirrors to install? My 05 XLT has the power/heated mirrors and i was thinking about upgrading to these due to the awesome blind spot mirror.

New mirrors are ON! Love the new look! I miss the visibility of the tow mirrors but I didnt have to do anything to pull in my parking space at work this morning!!!! The truck looks a little more balanced too as the towing mirrors were kinda gaudy on the truck.

The front little clear reflector is actually LED turn signals as well. I thought it was just a reflector when I bought them like OEM ones and I was gonna paint it black, but since its also a turn signal, Ill leave it alone Very happy with the new look

Another accidental de-mod was my front vanity plate. Wife backed up into the front of my truck the other day and messed the plate up (didnt hurt anything else), but now we are gonna have to get her car a new rear bumper and a dent pulled from her trunk lid FTL... But I like the new look with no front plate!

Yeah the quality is great! The fit was perfect. The only thing that could possibly be better is if the little convex mirror on corner of lens was seperate so you could move just that part. But I have not other complaints. No normal person would not know they are not OEM.
