New engine for 06 5.4

So I took my truck in to the dealership because it overheated, they put a new water pump on, new cam phasers, new vct solenoid to fix issues it had after overheating. It is still having issues when the engine gets hot, oil pressure goes between 35-25 and runs rough. Per ford engineering the problem can't be fixed except by putting in a new engine. What kind of warranty am I looking at with a new engine and has anyone else experienced anything similar?

You're well out of your 3/36 standard warranty and I assume you do not have any type of extended warranty? Are you asking what kind of warranty a Ford Remanufactured engine has?

hmm id say you need a second opinion. the reman should have a 3 year warranty, not sure on mileage.

If the dealer installs it I believe it's 100K mi. They know extremely few people are going to put that many miles on in 3 years, (unless you live in Texas) LOL.

Sorry it took so long to get back but yes I was asking what the reman engine carries as far as a warranty....3 yr/100,000 miles. It's been almost a month since I initially took it in for the overheating problem and all the other engine related drama and they still have yet to give me my truck back. Was supposed to get it back today but someone hit my front bumper when I left it at the dealership for the water pump install and they were going to fix the white smudges on it, now it's gotten a couple dings and some scratches from the engine install I guess. Not happy.

Oh man, what a nightmare, sorry to hear. I was going through this last summer with my old 04 FX4. It started with $1,200 bill for the spark plug breaking and getting stuck in the head, lisle tool didn't work. A month later, cam phasers got bad. Then after that fix the injectors. I am not a fan of the 5.4 3V motor, they're problematic in my opinion. 3yr 100,000 warranty seems fair to me if that is offered. Good luck sir.

5.0 4V time! I wouldn't even buy another 5.4 3v!
