Cam phasers

I have an 08 F150 STX 4.6L. As far as I know I don't have the VVT crap on my engine..I have flowmaster exhaust and definately do not hear 4 cylinders drop on the highway. I have been a chevy man all my life, this is my first ford, so Im a newb.. I know my engine is the 3 valve and from what I have read all 4.6 and 5.4 3V have VVT. Is this true?

The 3v 4.6 wasn't used in the F-150 till 09. You have a 2V without VVT or cam phasers. By the way, VVT is variable valve timing - it does NOT drop 4 cylinders.
