HELP! I have a fuel system issue.

My '05 SCREW wouldn't start last night. Looked into it, and apparently the battery was drained down by the fuel pump constantly trying to run. It clicks constantly while the key is off, and stops when I turn the key into the run, or even the acc position. Thank you for any help you may be able to give.

have you ever replaced or checked on the FPDM? Its above the crossmember infront of the spare tire. You'll need to lower the spare to check it. Its a known issue.

Pat, thank you for your suggestion. I went and pulled the unit, checked it over and it doesn't look to be in horrible shape. I disconnected it, then reconnected the battery and my clicking continued with the unit unplugged. Is there another relay or something that could be near the tank, or even under the back seat that could be causing my problems?

Thank you anyone that has any information or suggestions for me to look into.

Sean

got me stumped.....

does everything else seem to work correctly with key on?

with the battery charged does the truck start normally?

do you have a power sliding rear window? what about the under seat subwoofer?

I did a little searching - found one site that says there is a fuel pump relay in the central junction box, and it's not serviceable. Maybe a bad CJB (cab fuse panel)?
