Got this 04' f150 4x4 in Feb this year (used as is from ford dealer). Now once you start the truck after a min an alarm goes off a series of 5 beeps per 5x. dealer and internet says has to do with the srs airbag light. well the srs light is fine comes on when you first start up then goes off like it should. Well the dealer says its the srs bulb, to replace the instrument cluster which is $300.00. But like I said the light aint burnout. Can anyone offer some help or info? especially if the light works what else could it be?

 

Could it have anything to do with the "smart sensor" in the R. seat? The one that senses whether there is anyone in the R. seat and also the weight of the person (if there is one) to know whether to reduce the explosive force if there is a child in that seat.

 

Not sure, (no codes come up on computer) how would you go about checking the smart sensor? thanks!
